Google Wants Even Faster Fiber and Other News You Need to Know



Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. Google Fiber — Google’s Internet technology that offers speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second — just isn’t good enough for the company. 

According to USA Today, the tech company’s working toward speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. NBC is reporting Edward Snowden may not have been as honest as he once claimed. 

The report suggests Snowden gained access to a co-worker’s password by having the co-worker type it into his computer. And, voice-calling and messaging app Viber will be acquired by Japanese retailer Rakuten Inc.
