Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: cell with curved screen that shows us the future

One of the most exciting news is when we know of 'futuristic' devices will probably inspire you to move forward in design and in different ways. It is something that Samsung intends to offer the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is unlike any other phone we've seen in the market, but uses basically the same concept flexible display the company showed at CES 2012.

The Galaxy Note has a QHD screen Edge (2K) 5.6 megapixel (2,560x 1,440), the same as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 inches only smaller. No enmbargo on the right edge of the screen is folded and covers part of the right edge of the cell. This edge has a bar full of icons, widgets and useful information that can function apart from the front of the display or may display related to the application that is in the main part menus.

The Curve Bar display can be rotated by swiping your finger across the edge to provide icons, shortcuts, S Health data, markers games, weather and more. You slide sideways and kind of broken bar. If you slide down arriva you open the menu shortcuts or widgets. While the slide at the bottom you can get the settings bar.

You can add all kinds of applications in that bar, change the background and moving the phone image moves a bit, giving a very interesting effect.

Samsung enable an API to allow developers to take advantage of that bar or border. For example, when you open the camera bar provides controls, while the central screen displays images that are captured.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has the same specifications of the Galaxy Note 4, including a quad-core 2.7GHz processor, 16-megapixel camera, 3.7 megapixel front, 3GB of RAM and features a stylus. However, the Galaxy Note Edge is not compatible with the Samsung VR Gear, as these virtual reality glasses only work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
